Christmas is just next month and my wife-27 years and I-29 years are making plans to host our families in a cute but grand way.
I would be preparing the majority of the dishes by grilling tilapia and cooking in general. I am super happy because that is one of my favorite foods. My wife and I have been fortunate this year despite the many economic upheavals in the country in order to be in the position to be able to afford this little 'luxury'.
I plan on grilling the tilapia to a medium rare temperature since that's what a lot of people like best. And, consequently, the fish will be more juicier and tender that way.
My wife is unhappy with this and says I should make it hot temperature because she and her parents "don't like it tilapia tender and watery".
I told her that she can have for herself the end slices, which are often more cooked than the bulk of the roast.
I believe this makes perfect sense. Obviously, this is one (expensive) piece of fish, and I don't want to spoil all of it when the solution is clear: you can always cook a piece more. You can't uncook it.
My wife says I am imposing my "pretentious preferences" onto everyone coming Christmas.
