Pretty award-winning actress Nana Ama Mcbrown has entreated women especially students to desist from buying expensive fashionable materials such as Brazilian wigs, Peruvian wigs, dresses, designer bags, watches and phones which do not add value to their lives.
Speaking during ‘Starr Woman Project’ at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi on Friday, she admonished young women to make good use of their monies by investing in profitable ventures. The “Starr Woman Project” is an extension of ‘The Zone’ which seeks to equip young women entrepreneurs with the relevant knowledge, skill and motivation to achieve their fullest potential as entrepreneurs.
Nana Ama Mcbrown said it is needless for young girls who are dependant on their parents to buy expensive materials just to look beautiful when they could buy same materials at lower prices. She further encouraged students and women to start business with their phones and stop engaging in fruitless activities such as Snap chat, Whats App, Instagram, Imo, Selfie and others.
She wondered why young girls especially students are fixated with their phones when they are supposed to be concentrating on their academic works
